Custom Watch or Send-In Service? What to Check Before Ordering

A finished custom watch and a send-in customization service can look similar in photographs, but they are different purchases. Before choosing a finish, decide whether you want to buy a watch or transform one you already own. That first decision makes the rest of the order much clearer.

Choose a complete watch when you want the device included

A complete-watch listing includes the watch itself, together with the band and any accessories expressly listed in its description. It can be a useful starting point if you do not already own a suitable device or want to choose a different watch.

For example, our custom gold Amazfit watch with a black leather hybrid band includes the authentic Amazfit watch customized by De Billas Lux and the non-branded band. The watch receives 24K gold electroplating; the included band has a gold-plated buckle. The band is not manufactured or branded by Amazfit.

Read the included-items section carefully. A device brand does not automatically identify the maker of its band, and a photograph may show styling or presentation details that are not part of every configuration.

Choose a send-in service when you want work on your own watch

A send-in listing covers the specified customization work on a device you supply. Unless the listing expressly says otherwise, it does not mean that you are buying a new watch.

Our Apple Watch Ultra mirror-polishing service, for example, is for polishing your own watch body. A watch and band are not included. The watch shown in its photos illustrates the finish rather than an included device.

Before sending anything, confirm your exact model, its condition and the work you want. Also check whether the selected service covers only the watch body or includes any band components. These details should be agreed for your particular order rather than inferred from a similar photograph.

Separate the watch finish from the band finish

Look at each component individually: the watch body, band, buckle and any adapters. Do not assume that a finish named for the watch applies to every part of the package.

Use the precise finish description in the listing. Golden anodizing and gold plating should not be treated as interchangeable terms, and a polished surface should not automatically be described as gold plated. If a component’s finish is unclear, ask before ordering.

Allow for handling and shipping separately

For a send-in service, the journey includes shipping your watch to us, the customization work and return shipping. A handling estimate is not the same as an arrival date.

Check the selected option and current listing for when the handling period begins. On our Ultra polishing service, the optional prepaid mail-in label covers shipping to De Billas Lux only; it is not a return-shipping label. Confirm return-shipping arrangements before sending your watch.

For a complete custom watch, check current availability and the applicable preparation estimate. If you are buying for a particular occasion, contact us before ordering rather than assuming a general shipping estimate guarantees delivery by that date.

A quick checklist before checkout

• What am I buying? A complete watch, a band or a service for my own device?
• What is included? Check the watch, band, buckle and accessories against the written description.
• What is being customized? Confirm the exact components and finish.
• What timing applies? Separate preparation or service handling from shipping transit.
• What care and limitations apply? Read the product-specific water-resistance, warranty and care information rather than assuming the same terms apply to every customized watch.
